The Chairman of Lokoja Local Government Area, Comrade, Hon. Abdullahi Adamu bestowed honours on the past council chairmen, in recognition of their Outstanding Service and Dedication to the Development of Lokoja Local Government Area.
He said, the award was as a result of vital roles played in the growth and governance of the council area and to foster unity and appreciate past service, to strengthen continuity in leadership with Lokoja LGA.
Hon. Yabagi Danlami Bologi was among the chairmen honoured. Bologi is an household name, in Lokoja, he has excelled in all facets of life and has demonstrated good qualities of leadership.
Bologi was one time Vice Principal, Government Day Secondary School, Lokoja, Director of Protocol, during the first coming of Prince Abubakar Audu as Governor of Kogi State, Chairman, Lokoja Local Government Area, Special Adviser on Economic Matters, Commissioner for Information, and Commissioner for Commerce and Industry.
During his tenure as the Executive Chairman of Lokoja Local Government Area, he has achieved alot in the area of infrastructures, empowerment, prompt payment of staff salaries and allowances, improved revenue base of the council by building trailer park at Obajana, renovation of council secretariat and lock up shops.
Hon. Bologi has left indelible mark that remain to be remembered.
