RESPONSE BY HONOURABLE ALHAJI NASIRU BALA SALISU (KATUKAN LAKWAJA).
In the name of Allah, the Most Compassionate, the Most Merciful.
First and foremost, I thank Allah SWT for His blessings, favour and grace upon me and my family, granting us good health and long life not allowing anything to touch my faith in him. Alhamdulilah and May Allah SWT continue to grant my late parents can all other departed Muslims Aljanah Fidausi, Amin.
Secondly, I thank Allah who created me a devout Muslim and I practice Islam, I believe in His oneness and I fear Allah SWT in my interactions and dealings with people whether close or far off. I know humanity is a religion but rather a rank that some people reach in life. I am an epitome of humanity and I believe in building human capacities instead of competing in building castles and buying exotic vehicles which will soon become old fashion and models in a few years. I am contended with what Allah has done for me in life and therefore, I am not in competition with anyone rather, praying for a successful tenure in my life. I have a name to protect which is my own legacy ALHAJI NASIRU BALA and my family name ALHAJI SALISU YUNUSA is another legacy I have enjoyed and firmly planted in the Traditional and Religious Houses of the Native Town of Lokoja.
COMING TO THE MAIN ISSUE:
There is no true born, a native and indigenous son and Daughter of Lokoja (Matured male and female, elderly and young) that will ever applaud any wrong actions either intentional doings or mistakes to fellow Lokojians (LAKWAJA) unless a bastard, cursed or non indigenous residents who does not know the historical chronicles of Lokoja before and after the Kogi State creation that made Lokoja the Kogi State capital which we all contributed to making possible.
The report published by the serial blackmailer and character assasinator is a watery and unstable kind of journalism that lacks balance, integrity, focus and insight. Journalism is a noble profession and practice by noble personalities. The professionalism of media practice lies in the dissemination of genuine and verifiable information, devoid of sensationalization, sentiment and aggrandizement. Real and trained journalists are impeccable personalities the very moment you see them. We should not take this report serious but when it comes to this kind of sensational and biased reportage of your kind, it speaks volumes about your integrity, lack of patriotism and the knowledge for professional conduct. Looking from all your write – ups as a serial blackmailer, it shows up your anger and unstable report crafted from envy, selfishness, greed and lack of true knowledge about true professional conduct and best practices in journalism. The article is more suitable on your quackery kind of reportage as it lack moral values, directions and sincerity of purpose.
A serial blackmailer and character assasination practitioner is dragging the sitting Lokoja Local Government Area, Executive Chairman, into mud and deep sheat in the name of…..”his decision to exclude a former chairman from the list of award recipients during the Council’s one year anniversary celebration held at Reverton Hotel, Lokoja on Thursday”….. This is rather unfortunate, unnecessary and I pray this serial blackmailer doesn’t succeed in his blackmail and character assasination.
The serial blackmailer said that….. “The residents described the move as courageous, fair and long overdue, noting that it reflected the chairman’s commitment to integrity and merit in governance”….. The above statement is concocted in his usual bid on character assasination, blackmail and personality staining with his trade mark of Quack journalist he is and has been.
The same serial blackmailer claimed…..” the exclusion was justified, given the former chairman’s record of poor performance, divisive politics, and alleged abuse of power while in office. “For avoidance of doubt and putting the records straight, I can say without any contraction that apart from Late Alhaji Ahmadu Ibrahim Kaka Koto (Father of former Kogi State SSG Musa Ahmadu) whose impactful records in the areas of education, healthcare, infrastructure and social welfare only compare to mine, no any elected Executive Chairman of Lokoja LGA beat my records. I totally contributed greatly to the growth and development of Lokoja LGA before the creation of Kogi State and even after creation up till date.
Of not also is a fact that, the sitting Executive Chairman of Lokoja LGA, is a son to me because, his biological father (RIP) served under me as a Honourable Councillor while I was the Executive council chairman. Therefore, the sitting Executive Chairman did not snub or deliberately excluded me from such Award of Meritorious Service. I think there was a mix – up and do hope corrective steps will be taking.
Without trying to defend my self, and for whatever allegations, government records are there for whosoever that want to see and verify. Posterity has already vindicated me and my positively impactful tenure. I have never victimized anyone instead, I maintained an open door policy of administration, foster unity, peace, religious tolerance and we ran government of Inclusiveness and played politics without bitterness three decades ago.
It is on record and confirmed that, I was the first young man who took a Traditional Title as KATUKA OF LOKOJA from the Late Maigari of Lokoja (Alhaji Muhammadu Kabir Maikarfe III) over 30 years ago. Our close relationship with the Late Maigari Muhammadu Kabir Maikarfe III spanned decades when I served as the Executive Chairman of Kogi/Lokoja LGA, he was then HOD Health in the Local Government Area.
The serial blackmailer telling lies and further stated….. “Another resident added that even after leaving office more than three decades ago, …. the former Chairman has remained a source of division within All Progressive Congress (APC), holding factional meetings and consistently criticizing party leaders. “This is another white lies, I have always been loyal member of any political party and government that I belong, I don’t do opposition. The APC is my party and I am a foundation member at its formation up till date. It’s noteworthy to state here that I am an appointee of Kogi State Government serving at the Kogi State House of Assembly Service Commission since it was established by the former Governor Yahaya Adoza Bello CON, (The White Lion). APC party has been winning in my polling unit and Ward ‘D of Lokoja LGA, without opposition or any ant- party activities to my knowledge.
I, Alhaji Nasiru Bala, the son of Late Alhaji YUNUSA Salisu in my natural principles hates betrayal, blackmailing (gossips), cheating sycophants and ingratitude from whoever. No wonder the betrayers and sycophants among our people don’t like me and I know. If I ever benefit from you no matter how little, I will appreciate. But when I do good to people, I don’t expect any thank you from them and that is my nature. Starting from the former Minister of State FCT, Hajiya Ramatu Tijjani Aliyu her father was my council secretary when I served as the Executive Chairman of Kogi/Lokoja LGA. The Daughter – father relationship between me and Hajiya Ramatu is beyond their knowledge and understanding.
His Excellency, Former Governor Ibrahim Idris gave my daughter’s hand in marriage, you can imagine that level of commitment and family tie in relationship. General, Distinguished Senator Tunde Ogbeha (LAKPINI OF LOKOJA) is a big brother and very senior citizen of Lokoja, Kogi State and Nigeria. He is close to me and my family members up till now. We are always together at the Lokoja Traditional Emirate council meetings and other engagements, we appreciate him for all he do for us in Lokoja and Kogi State. He was one of the personalities that God Almighty used for the creation through General Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida, the former Military President of Nigeria. The former Governor of Niger State through his then SSG, Ibrahim Ladan who represented the Governor gave my second Daughter’s hands in marriage. His Excellency, Captain Idris Wada was to late to my second Daughter’s weeding ceremony, he nonetheless came and attended in person. We are still together up till now. Of course, I have always maintain and manage my relationships with some people within and outside of Kogi State.
Like I said earlier, the only reason I disassociate with some people is when I discover you are a betrayal, blackmailer, a cheat, a sycophant and ungrateful person among others.
Politics is about interest and my interest back home together with many others is purely for Lokoja/Kogi Koton-Karfe Federal Constituency to Representative to the Senate in 2027. It is an abomination to leave a Lokojian and support outsiders that have spent 20 years in the same senate seat and still counting. Hate me for standing by Zakari Abubakar Ola who is a Lokoja man, I don’t care, let the witch hunting continue to whatever level or dimension. My support for Zakari Abubakar Ola in 2027 and APC as our great party is total and I have no regret standing by Zakari Ola. You can hate or like me, what matters to me is to see a Lokoja person Ustaz Zakari emerge as the flag bearer of APC in 2026 and win election overwhelmingly in 2027 to the Senate of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
Together we shall continue to give our best to the party, APC and HE, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo the Chief Servant and Executive Governor of Kogi State, and also HE, President Ahmed Bola Tinubu, GCFR.
