Inorder to stabilise the Africa Democratic Party, (ADC), in Ward “B” of Lokoja Local Government Area, Kogi State, members of the party held its meeting to fashion out modalities on how to mobilise, strategise and harmonise towards 2027 general elections.
The Ward chairman, Hon. Abdulkadir Mohammed, in his opening address briefed members, the purpose of the meeting is to come together for a common cause and for every member to drop his or her political party’s differences and embrace one another so that the party can forge ahead to become one united family.
He said, the meeting is a replica of what has been happening at the National, local government down to the ward level of the party, while cautioning members that divided we fall and united we stand, as that will give the party edge for the task ahead.
The leader of Ward “B” Africa Democratic Congress (ADC), Hon. Mohammed Abdulrahman Balga, a one time senatorial chairman, Kogi West Senatorial District, also briefed members on the outcome of the meeting held with the state leader of the party, Distinguished Senator Tunde Ogbeha, CON, MNI, in Lokoja recently, on how to put the party in a good shape devoid of rancour and acrimony.
He said the Lakpini of Lokoja, charged all leaders to go back to their various wards to mobilise, strategise, harmonise and collapse all structures from other political parties into one formidable ADC.
According to him, Senator Ogbeha emphasised that whether you are from PDP, SDP, APC, LP and other political parties, members have become one united entity, set to wrestle power from the ruling party come 2027.
Ogbeha, directed all leaders from various wards to set up committees to harmonise the ward executives and another five man committee for mobilisation of membership. Thereafter, committees are set up in line with the leader’s directive.
Hon. Mohammed appealed to members to work together and shun divisive tendencies and should sacrifice for the task ahead.
One of the critical stakeholders of the ADC in Ward “B”, His Excellency, Alh. Bawa Yakubu, reminded members of the economic hardship nigerians are going in the country, and stressed there is need for members to work hard to chase out APC come 2027, while urging members to remember the party’s slogan “Arise and Shine Nigeria” in line with the struggle to emancipate Nigerians from this doldrums of APC government.
Alh. Bawa also disclosed that there are a lot of things happening at the top and that by next year things will start unveiling itself. He members attention on how ADC is gaining ground in the North and other parts of the country.
He appealed to members to be steadfast and remain focus not to be afraid of harassment and intimidation.
The meeting recorded a large turnout from the four segments, Karaworo, Cantonment Anguwan Masara and Shabayagi axis of Ward “B”.
At the end, members pray for the state leader of the party, Distinguished Senator Tunde Ogbeha, CON, MNI, the Lakpini of Lokoja, for God guidance and protection. They pledged their loyalty in a voice vote, and congratulated him on his conferrement of Doctorate degree of Science, (Honoris Causa) on National Development, His Strong Commitment, to Improving Education and His Selfless Services to Humanity, from Federal University, Lokoja.
